Senior Band
The Rathfarnham Concert Band Society formed its first senior concert band in 1984, just three years after the foundation of the society. Two decades have passed since that fateful Sunday morning in 1984 yet the senior band remains as committed as ever to the maintenance of the highest standards in musical performance.
We are recognised as being one of the most active and most successful concert bands in the country. We have been National Band Champions on numerous occasions most recently from 1999-2001, and each year we perform many times in the National Concert Hall both as a guest band and in our own annual production.
The senior band has travelled extensively, proudly representing both Ireland and the Society at competitions and festivals throughout the United Kingdom and Europe including Luxemborug, Hungary, France, Italy, Belgium and Germany.
