About our Bands
The aim of Rathfarnham Concert Band is to produce great music and create lasting friendships between our musicians. We have five bands consisting of over 100 musicians: the ‘Tyro’ band, the Junior band, the Intermediate band, the Jazz band and the Senior band.

Band Officers: Michael Hayden & Aideen Treston
The Junior Band is made up of musicians aged 11–15. The Junior Band plays a mixture of pieces to challenge and teach the young musicians about the wide range of music available to them.
Inter Band
Band Officers: Richard Meade, Colm Aengus Murphy, Catherine Kelly & Fiona Kelly
The Inter Band is made up of musicians aged 15–18. They play a mixture of pieces to improve the skill of the musician.
Senior Band
Band Officer: Roisin O’Flaherty
The Senior Band is made up of musicians aged 18+ that have been with the band since it began in 1980, musicians who have come through the recorder classes, and other musicians from far and wide who have moved to Dublin and want to continue playing music.
